  2.     Yet another text file!!! This is a bit of what you can expect
  3. from the Bertie Range. I'm a keen programmer. When I first got into 
  4. Assembly, I nipped out and bought sisty quids worth of DecPac 2.
  5. At the next show, I saw HiSoft, only to be told "Oh, yes. Assembly is
  6. being overtaken by C". They couldn`t even recommend a good book.
  7.     
  8.     So I decided to recommed a few myself.

  10. Abacus Machine Language. The only problem is that the code is for 
  11.                  Abacus`s assembler, but can be changed to 
  12.              Devpac within minutes. 
  13.  
  14. Rom Kernal Manuals. These are really, really good. Another problem is
  15.             that the examples are in C. This is ni-on 
  16.             impossible to convert (well I found it was)..
  17.  
  18.     Another thing to get is the Motorola instructions manual. This 
  19. lists all the instructions for the 680-00-10-20-30-40 chips. Basically
  20. get some good heavy manuals, a Rom Kernal Manual, and DO NOT be afraid
  21. to call the makers of the assembler, HiSoft etc, and ask if you dont
  22. understand something. Its their duty to help you out...
